Dalby Forest is where I got my first taste of blood, metaphorically and physically. My home stomping ground for a good few years, and then I came to uni in Carlisle and fell in love with the Lake District and the Scottish Borders.

I’d love to consider myself a dirt jumper, but shins would say otherwise, I’d love to say that I am a downhiller, but my collarbone speaks for itself, I’d love to call myself a performance athlete… but let’s just call me Dan, at least for now anyway… maybe one day I can shake the title of “fatlad”.

I’m in it for the fun and flow of it all [that’s my excuse for being slow], there’s nothing I like better than a good sunset ride, with high fives and a filthy bike… and cake. My love for “that feeling” takes me to loving pretty much any adventure sport, so I love a bit of Snowboarding when I can… and also an unskilled dose of climbing, kayaking, surfing, skating, eating, trail running etc.

By day, I’m a web developer, sat at my desk dreaming of the outdoors, by night… I’m a Dad… again, dreaming of the outdoors…
