62 miles on Monster Rubber!

Lakeland Monster Miles Adventure Cross.

Billed as the toughest both physically and technically of all the ‘UK Cycling Events’ adventure cross series takes in some of the best of Lakeland riding . Challenging riders to not just rocks and mud but steep relentless climbs and some typical Lakes weather, with a choice of two routes a 44 mile Mini Massif or a 62 mile Massif both circumnavigating the mighty Skiddaw.

Ideal bike choice recommended was cyclocross or hardtail mountain bike, so I opted for the extra challenge of a Trek Farley fully rigid fat bike with 4.8” monster tyres to drag me round the 62 mile Massif, 57% of which was off road and 43% on road.
